In Pawlenty, Romney Campaign May Find Down-to-Earth Appeal.

It was four years ago this summer, when Tim Pawlenty ranked high on the list of John McCain’s potential running mates, and Mr. Pawlenty and his wife, Mary, were plowing through a voluminous questionnaire probing deep into their finances and almost every other aspect of their lives.

“I remember the two of us joking one night at some inhumane hour, ‘No way is Mitt Romney doing this by himself!’ ” Mr. Pawlenty later wrote in his book. “We had a good laugh over that.”

After a short-lived presidential bid of his own last year, Mr. Pawlenty is again being considered for the Republican ticket. His fate is in the hands of Mr. Romney, a rival-turned-friend, who is on the cusp of announcing his vice-presidential selection. Mr. Romney has reached a decision, his friends believe, and he may disclose it as soon as this week.

He thought he could spin the 2008 GOP Convention in St. Paul into a Presidential nomination this year, but he'll settle for silver. The only thing that gets rough is when they bring up his use of the word "Obamneycare", it will be like asking Bush, Sr. about "voodoo economics".

since he was spurned for Tundra Snooki* last time (even after living in McCain's pants for a year) that he's probably been volunteering as Mittens' car elevator operator, just hoping to get a chance to hand Mittens' chauffeur a copy of his resume to pass on to His Banefulness. Timmy is kind of pathetic; he's like the barista at a Hollywood Starbuck's who tries to give a dogeared copy of his screenplay to every producer's assistant who comes in for a double skim latte.

I'm not sure the logic behind picking Pawlenty, certainly won't add any enthusiasm to the ticket. People didn't like him 4 years ago at all.

Hard to find a worse campaigner than Mittens, but T-paw has him beat by a country mile. People will use their rally tapes as sleep aids.
