Hillary Clinton’s Mega-Donors Are Also Funding Jeb Bush

Racetrack owners, bankers, and chicken kings: Meet the ultra-rich bankrolling the Bush and Clinton dynasties. A special report by Vocativ and The Daily Beast.

For some wealthy donors, it doesn’t matter who takes the White House in 2016—as long as the president’s name is Clinton or Bush.

More than 60 ultra-rich Americans have contributed to both Jeb Bush’s and Hillary Clinton’s federal campaigns, according to an analysis of Federal Election Commission data by Vocativ and The Daily Beast. Seventeen of those contributors have gone one step further and opened their wallets to fund both Bush’s and Clinton’s 2016 ambitions.

After all, why support just Hillary Clinton or just Jeb Bush when you can hedge your bets and donate to both? This seems to be the thinking of a group of powerful men and women—racetrack owners, bankers, media barons, chicken magnates, hedge funders (and their spouses). Some of them have net worths that can eclipse the GDPs of small countries.

After all, Greenspan called Bill Clinton the best Republican president we've ever had. Having Hillary as the Dem nominee is a win-win for the ultra-rich.

It's kind of ironic as our nation's labor pains were tied to rebelling against a King or Queen.

The oligarchs, mega-corporations and their corporate media mouth pieces have done everything in their power to keep a Bush or Clinton front and center in the nation's consciousness.

Since 1980 until 2016 in ten Presidential Elections a Bush or Clinton has been running or elected at the top or second place on the ticket 9 times, and this from a nation of over 300 million people, what are the odds of that happening without major corporate media propaganda manipulation taking place?

That's what mega-bucks buys you.

Thanks for the thread, John Poet.

the "aristocrats" (read the plutocrats/tenth-percenters) have created a process by which they designate a king for at least four years and have nearly complete control of the process.

Imagine... a President truly elected by the people.

Bernie has my vote because he is the only one that is trustworthy and running on his own ideals. Agree with him or not, he is the only real voice out there. The rest are just echos of corporate America.

Those who place the needs of themselves and the needs of corporations above the needs of their neighbors and of the quickly dwindling natural world we all rely on.

They know full well Wall St is distorting and deceiving our electorate and elections and yet they could care less. For them, cash is king and democracy is just a word.

the team logo, mascot what have you. It' become a spectator sport not unlike the NFL. At least with the NFL and the like you know what their motive is and you know that all the teams and their handlers have the same goal in mind. But in the game of two party politics we somehow think that there is a substantive divergence between the two. Laughable, the higher you go, the more similar they become.

And that's exactly why it is getting so intolerably hot in this handbasket.
