http://politicalwire.com/archives/2012/06/27/obama_leads_in_three_key_battlegrounds.html
Obama Leads in Three Key Battlegrounds A new Quinnipiac poll finds President Obama with leads in the important battleground states of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Florida: Obama 45%, Romney 41% Ohio: Obama 47%, Romney 38% Pennsylvania: Obama 45%, Romney 39%. Said pollster Peter Brown: "If he can keep those leads in all three of these key swing states through election day he would be virtually assured of re-election."

1. Nice to see, but caution is always valuable . . .
|
The Florida number looks plausible - a 4-point lead.
The Ohio number I'm not sure about. A 9-point lead? That seems a little on the high side compared to other polls, and is higher than the margin Obama won by in 2008. The Pennsylvania number of a 6-point lead also looks plausible with others that have been out lately, although it's a narrower margin than Obama won by in 2008, so it needs to be higher in order to make the lead comfortable enough. Afterall, this is the state where a Republican Congressman just admitted that they are going to basically try to fix PA for Romney through voter ID rules. |

Unless either or both are stolen from him.

4. Tomorrow
|
What I'm most on edge about is what the effect will be of tomorrow's Supreme Court health care ruling. Will it cause these good polling numbers to go down, or will it not have much effect?

6. Not to mention the effort to purge the DOJ itself.

And I understand that the League of Women Voters and Rock The Vote have resumed operations in Florida.

9. I thought...
|
the only poll that matters is on election day!
But I concur in your enthusiasm. |
