I was quite bothered by what Claire McCaskill said today on Morning Joe, I think it was.

She acknowledged the feelings of the Trump supporters as "angry at our government" and she did it in an understanding way, sort of.

I dont know who she was talking against, but she was talking up Hillary obviously, but it really bothered me that she gave these people credibility.

They are NOT angry at some vague notion of "the government", they HATE President Obama for being black and that is what they are angry about.

...some of them may indeed hate Obama, but he resonates with a broader "I hate all politicians" demographic as well. In any event, insulting voters, even those who won't be voting for you, is never a smart move.

and he is going to do it, just a matter of time. AND can't wait to see it happen. But, I am also nervous of his rabid supporters. This country can NOT have a repub congress, AND a repub president......

She's a big Hillary supporter, and Bernie Sanders detractor.

She should keep her powder dry for firing at the Republicans, not mess with Bernie supporters by calling him a "socialist, you know".

Alienating 1/3 of the liberals of this voting populace is no way to help any fellow Democrat.

A liberal would never win there. And although you may not agree with her on many issues, she is there with us in the senate when we need her.

Just like you guys gave Bernie a pass on gun control because he was working for his constituents, Claire is a democrat working in a conservative area.
