What Constitutes A Negative Ad?......

If a political ad is accurate and truthful about a candidate in what it states but happens to be contrary to the lies that this candidate is trying to spew about himself - is the political ad negative?

To me a negative ad is one that if full of lies and half truths about a candidate and it is used to sway potential voters opinions about a candidate - when they don't have the truth to work with.

I'm interested in hearing opinions here about what constitutes a negative ad.

That about covers it. Same basic template. Same stupid message. And things like that work because half of the country is made up of uninformed idiots.
