Also we have the best base for self-sustaining hegemonic, hemispheric than anyone else before Yellowstone or some really heroic pissing away of our riches(in any form you wish to define).

China's GDP is slightly larger now, but "richest" usually is a function of cumulative GDP, and we have a huge head start.
