Although she has "evolved" recently on some social issues (which don't cost Wall St a cent), at her core Clinton is an economic conservative. She is to the right of Eisenhower and Nixon, and barely to the left of Reagan. Pretty close to even with George I. By any measure, that's a conservative.

One of Jones’s letters to Hillary at Wellesley alluded to Edmund Burke’s emphasis on personal responsibility and raised the question of “whether someone can be a Burkean realist about history and human nature and at the same time have liberal sentiments and visions.” In her response, Hillary mused, “It is an interesting question you posed—can one be a mind conservative and a heart liberal?”

No description of the adult Hillary Clinton—a mind conservative and a heart liberal—has so succinctly defined her as this premonitory observation at age eighteen.

So if one shares Burke's reservations about the malleability of human beings one can not be a liberal. I am a liberal because I have empathy for folks in distress... Everything else is window dressing.

Bernie or a conservative. In the primary or in the general. That's it.

I agree, but what's your point?

I don't like conservative, moderate, or left labels because they are used to mislead people. Hillary is a Corporatist.
