Romney advisers stressed that the holdings in the Caymans -- along with those in a Swiss bank account that was closed in 2010 after an investment adviser decided it could be politically embarrassing to Romney -- were reported on tax returns and were not vehicles to avoid taxes.

That he made it this far would be shocking, if one were blissfully ignorant of the field of Republican social defectives with which he's competing.

8. I am thankful for him

He is still the favorite to win the Republican nomination, and this provides a great opportunity for America to have a conversation about all of those things you mention. Sure it's great for Obama and the Democrats to be potentially running against the poster boy for greed, excess, and privilege, but it's even better for America to start to have a conversation about the fairness of the system we have built.

And we're supposed to think this was just a coincidence? Just done to avoid embarrassment?

I want to see the returns BEFORE he closed the account, not afterwards.
