I Just Finished Listening To Bernie's Madison Speech & Have An Idea For Getting It Out To More .....

people. He was inspiring and spot on - on all the issues.

The American People need to know that this isn't just campaign rhetoric by him. He has held these positions for years and hasn't wavered. He is not just playing to the masses - he's sincere. He's not reacting to what he picked up at some focus group - he's lived this message his whole career.

Listening to him I was trying to think how do we get the message he delivered tonight in this address to the people of Madison - to all the American People.

How can we get our hands on a DVD of this speech? We need someone to make available copies of this speech. If every current supporter of Bernie could get their hands on a DVD of his speech tonight and continue to make additional copies and pass it on to their friends, families and associates - his message of tonight could reach far beyond the 10,000+ people he had in that auditorium.

We need to compound Bernie's message like compound interest and distribute it far and wide - because we know that the MSN won't be doing that for him.

I was hoping that maybe this speech tonight would have been on one of the CSPAN channels - but it wasn't. Rachel mentioned it and showed pics of the crowd - but there was no telecast of this speech by any network.

He has the right message and it resonates to the masses. We need to get his word out.

Any other ideas to do that would be welcomed here.

4. Not Everyone Has A Good Internet Hook-Up.....

When I run youtube it stalls too much and makes listening even to a song unnerving.

I'm thinking a Bernie Video DVD would be good to pass along and when passing it on - promoting 'Why Bernie' and once someone begins watching/listening to the DVD he is so compelling that it will keep their undivided interest for the whole speech.

With a bad internet hook-up - I'm thinking too many people would give up on it.

7. I've been making DVD copies of Thom Hartmann's Brunch with Bernie chunks since he announced...

I haven't had time yet to explore mass producing them just yet, but did bring them to one of our preliminary planning meetings for Bernie.

We should probably look at the sum total of different events, alternative media exposure, etc. that we can put together on DVDs. One can probably put too much together that could overwhelm some people, but perhaps we can have a way for people to get together and watch them and then vote or something on what segments to piece together in a more concise sampler of all of these different events to help get the word out when the corporate media won't. Maybe have some final calls on how they should be put together by Bernie's team.

I have a DVD recorder with a hard disc (those are hard to find any more) that will let me splice and edit things together that could help us do this. Not the same level of sophistication of the 3/4" videotape editor I used to have when I worked in the business, but I think it still could work if we had a plan with a bunch of material on which pieces to put together for a master "Bernie DVD" we can make a lot of copies of to hand out to people in GOTV efforts when meeting people out on the street.
