Sanders: American People 'Don't Know' What Hillary Is Running On

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), a potential 2016 presidential contender, slammed the national media’s coverage of Hillary Clinton on Tuesday, saying the press and public "don't know" where she stands on important issues.

“Why don’t you tell me what Hillary Clinton is campaigning on, do you know?” he said on MSNBC’s “Live with Thomas Roberts,” when asked if he believed her campaign message that she’s running to represent the “little guy."

“You don’t know and I don’t know and the American people don’t know.”

Sanders mocked the media's fascination with Clinton's early campaign van, which she has nicknamed the "Scooby Doo van."

“I’m sure there is great national interest about the Scooby van, I can’t think of an interest of more significance to the American people,” Sanders said.

The issues. Hillary supporters knows what she is running on. We read and listen. I guess Bernie is going to run on the Scooby van.

I think Clinton is rightly not giving a fuck about the media reporting. She's running a low key campaign and will be visiting a lot of places. It's going to be interesting to see how the media spins it. Every time she lets one of them in to her roundtables, they're going to be grateful, but they can't bitch about it, because if that's how she wants to run it there's nothing wrong with it.

So far the only basis of support I've seen is "she's not a republican!' which i guess does qualify, but it's not a high bar

Student loan relief, common core examination (not throwing it out but fixing it), fixing NCLB, constitutional amendment to get big money out of politics, bashing CEOs making 300 times their employees.

Watch this video, skip to 1:39:

It's literally day four, give it a little bit of time. I think Bernie is playing lip service and I don't like it at all. It's literally day four (and that's counting her two day drive to Iowa).

I don't think she should lay out a foundation from the start, I think she knows that, and I think she's going around allowing the talks she has with people to formulate what her platform will be. And that's going to be quite fascinating if that's the case. It will make her a bureaucrat of the highest order, but one who does what the American people want and what will improve their lives.

Information there. I think the process she is using now is going to be more effective than throwing everything out at once since many are not able to digest loads of information.

They'll vote for a return to the Clinton Years which are seen as "The Good Old Days" by most of the nation but which Republicans want to call "Pre-9/11 Mentality" while they remember it as "Eight Years Of Hell".

Meanwhile, Limbaugh actually WANTS Prez HRC because he really believes she will bring about his Big Comeback.

measurable goals. So far, from what I can tell, Hillary is talking about vague goals. She hasn't mentioned any measurable goals.

I wonder what are measurable goals are with regard to Social Security, the TPP, and the other issues that are urgent. What are her measurable goals with regard to the environment.

The one fairly measurable goals she has mentioned is about campaign finance -- even if it might take a constitutional amendment. It's not extremely measurable, but I don't want to be too demanding.

I note that Bernie Sanders has already identified measurable goals (as has Elizabeth Warren) although he (and she) have not announced their candidacies. Good for Bernie and Elizabeth. America needs to have candidates who present measurable goals.

Wouldn't it be nice if the media actually began covering the issues instead of the trivialities?

For once.
