Ted Cruz to oversee NASA

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2015/01/senator-ted-cruz-to-oversee-nasa-in-congress/

snip:
Senator Ted Cruz will chair the committee that oversees science and Nasa in the new Republican-controlled Congress, raising fears that the conservative Texan will cut funding to the space agency and science programs.

In his first action Senator Cruz will expose the "Apollo moon landing" as having taken place in Walter Cronkite's garage.

So it's not the time that really matters. Jesse Helms was Senator for 30 years, and wasn't qualified to hold the position. I for one would like first termer Warren to be Commitee Chairwoman.

the CATO institute thinks private funding will be sufficient.
They advocate complete elimination of science funding from the budget.

Yeah, that's the ticket!
I'll bet Cruz is licking his lips at the chance to be a huge budget cutting hero.

Many medical schools will close. I guess India better ramp up educating MDs.
