Dubya is an admitted War Criminal!
Obama needs to STOP protecting Dubya from investigations and standing trial for war crimes.
for over 3 years Obama has been providing cover for Dubya and that is aiding and abetting, Obama is becoming just as guilty as Dubya of war crimes.
America will NEVER move forward nor unite until Dubya, Cheney and the rest of the criminals stand trial for war crimes.

(16,064 posts)although I want to see them prosecuted, prosecuting them would most certainly further divide Americans , not unite them.

All the rest is window dressing, bread and circuses to keep us distracted from whom the real enemies are.

(7,018 posts)mostly the fault of the 1%. They have always wanted it this way, and they don't know how
to be otherwise. Any real change could only be for the better, not worse. It's the status
quo that will do us in - not real change.

(32,886 posts)If the congress doesnt impeach a President while in office, its over.
The moment it happens, it will become the norm. Every new President will attempt to prosecute his predecessors from another party. They will find some reason to do it.

Always grinning and saying "we have so much in common!" . "Vote for me! Because I'm just like these other guys! Except I get better results!?"

(1,033 posts)This is a standard thing. Bush unveiled Clinton's portrait. Clinton unveiled Bush Sr.'s, Poppy Bush unveiled Reagan's, Reagan unveiled Carter's, etc.

(5,213 posts)So we are just "silly" in insisting that past, present and future presidents uphold the law? Instead, we get a lot of backslapping and winking while the constitution is just a "goddamned piece of paper".
Your argument that all presidents do this proves Obama is nothing special and has no more moral authority than Shrub. We are just "silly" to want more. We are fools to expect our leaders to comport themselves with the same law abiding compassion as the vast majority of us do in our daily lives.
Demand more of yourself, and you may demand more from your "leaders".

On Monday, January 21, 2002 George W. Bush signed a proclamation declaring Martin Luther King Jr. "a modern American Hero." Before he did, however, he received a present from King's widow, Coretta Scott King. It was a portrait of the late, great civil rights leader mounted in a beautiful frame.
Mr. Bush, presumably with his political base in mind, started his speech by saying, "Well, thank you all very much for coming. Mrs. King, thanks for this beautiful portrait. I can't wait to hang it."
