In hindsight, Democratic candidates should have welcomed Obama.

Think about it. If Obama had gone to strategic locations - areas with large minority populations, etc. I have to believe that in a few of those close races we could have boosted Democratic turnout enough to win. Not to mention talking about the success of the ACA in places like Kentucky, etc. I hope this is the last time that Democratic candidates buy into the idea that they have to act like Republicans to win.

They ran away from him because they were afraid due to the Rs making this a referendum on the President.

Why? He won a re-election. Why would you not turnout to vote which by not doing gave the Rs the Senate (2/3 control)?

Our Governor in CT didn't run from him. He made 2 stops here and the first lady did too. Malloy won and by more votes than 4 years ago.

The President has had a good record. Yeah there are some issues but why don't people remember the obstruction caused by the House or the government shut down caused by the Rs? If the Rs won because people truly believe that things can get done with an R congress and a Democratic president then so be it, but I think the Rs won because Democratic voters did not turnout and that is shameful.
