Lets Have Some Fun

Why don't we have a little DU fun. So this day, November 6, 2014....the current unemployment rate as of October 1, 2014 is 5.9%, CBO, estimates the deficit will total $514 billion in fiscal year 2014. The deficit is projected to decrease again in 2015—to $478 billion, or 2.6 percent of GDP. Add any other information you wish to add, and share this information with your favorite right wing teapartier or GOP'er. Now lets revisit these figures, in one year and in 2016.... where do you think the figures will be? This may sound fun, but this is very important. We need to show how the GOP advancements will basically take this country backward by cutting programs for the poor and increasing defense budgets, by selling out to the Koch brothers, and by eliminating jobs so the rich can show a better profit. This MUST hit home to the voters who decided the GOP way is the best way..... oh how little they know.

The GOP doesn't have the votes to totally impede progress.

They'll continue to slow it down, but they can't stop it.

By summer, they will be giving credit to the GOP for this amazing turn around. And just by coincidence, the GOP will be glad to take all the credit.

Yes but, with the congress in free fall as it is, this country will not sit for long. I read that 54% of voting democrats did not vote this year. I am willing to give it until 2016, but I am pretty sure, when the presidential elections start, and the GOP put up their "very best" to become president, and they begin to open their mouths, and then suddenly....."no gay marriage, no Latinos in the country, no women deserve to work, no this no that starts spewing forth.....the house and Senate will again make a sharp turn.....

Several factors, economics was a main factor, complacency was the main cause of the failure. I read several democrat based measures /causes passed in this election, higher minimum wage, legalization of medical pot, no to "personage" measures, yet in those same states, senators and governors opposing to these causes were elected. When half the voting population of a given party chooses to watch I Love Lucy reruns, vs get out and vote, I don't believe its just the economy.
