Are We Losing Control Of Our Justice System?

Had a real sit-down today to do some reading. And I have to say -- I'm disappointed. It feels like my generation is shutdown before we leave the gate. (besides the global warming) I mean, half these guys in the picture are wanted for charges that the American/world people know are trumped up.

Are we losing control of our justice system? Why is Aaron Swartz dead and Zimmerman walking free? Maybe I'm totally out of line, but I wanted to know what DU thinks.

Personal experience with 'justice', but from what little I have, I know that absolutely nothing in this country is free. Whoever has the most money usually wins. Even if it appears to be a loss.

Is he under indictment by the United States? Or in custody?

Except to those who envision a complex scenario of the US trying to ship him off to Sweden on fake charges (where apparently it's easier to extradite him than in the UK) as opposed to just indicting him (amazingly enough, what we did with Edwaqrd Snowden), the only judicial trouble Assange finds him in seem to involve assault charges from outside the US.
