Shouldn't there be a "traffic study" meme by now? Such as "sorry, no home work- traffic study"! "Sorry, late for work- traffic study!" It's patently obvious there was no "traffic study", and that Bill Barroni was just flat-out telling a huge premeditated lie to the NJ Legislature, with all the bravado of someone sure he'd never get caught... I'm so glad he didn't get away with it! So, "traffic study", anyone?

those where they lay out those rope things in the street and count how many cars drive over in a given day. I believe with this one there were also cameras. From what I read, the "study" was inconclusive because having all the cars sit there didn't give an accurate car count.
So the "study" they used as an excuse had nothing to do with lane closings and did not require them. In addition, they wasted the money for the study since their little stunt voided the info received.
