if I had to. Obama will be polite, but snarking ruthlessless in a subtle way, and Mitt will have to attack and defend in the most ungraceful way.

I remember reading somewhere (long ago) that people who watched the debates on TV all said that Kennedy won, but those who listened on the radio were just as likely to say that Nixon won. Only about 50% of households had television in 1960.

I can't imagine that Romney will do as well as Nixon.

"Mr. Obama, despite all the so-called proof released by your press office affirming your right to US citizenship, many people still believe you are a false president because you are actually a Kenyan Muslim. What steps will you take to prove once-and-for-all that you are indeed American?"

Fact-checking everything Obama says and looking for any minor slip they can put through a microscope. They will cut Rmoney plenty of slack though.
I still find it amazing how the press in 2004 was silent on this:

Not one iota of fact checking whatsoever from the start. Why should we expect any different during the debates. Our media is useless.

I am already so fucking sick of Mitt Romney, I can't stand to look at him or hear the lies and stupidity he spews. The less I have to see and hear from that shitbag, the happier I will be, and I'm not sure I could even enjoy watching the President tear him apart. That's how sick I am of him.

I haven't seen polls about it. I know Kerry won all of his debates vs. Bush according to polls I've seen right after it aired on TV.
