Will the rePIGs give up their obstruction tactics in congress when Obama wins reelection?

I do know that the rePIGs will not generally disarm politically but will they be more corporative in congress after the election if Obama wins? Some how I seriously doubt that. If these SOBs could start potting Obama's destruction right during his inauguration, then they are capable of any damn thing and probably will never compromise for anything.
The sad part of this is that Dems would have more or less recalibrated to seek middle ground if they were to be the their shoes - but not the rePIGs.

4. Of course not.

That's why we have a simple remedy called the ballot box. Use it wisely.

6. they are always working toward the next election...remember how the Tea Party had a website set up..

and ready to go? They probably have it all worked out already. Guessing their strategy would be fun.

I think they continue to subvert democracy in state and local governments while throwing the monkey wrench and the entire contents of the Craftsman tool chest into the workings of the Federal government.

20. If Only Democrats Can Truly Claim Mandate When It Counts

The sad thing is that even when democrats are given mandate(s) they tend downplay whatever powers they have been given - i.e. no torture investigation of last administration; no investigation of the economic collapse; etc. It is still a mystery to me why they do that - whereas rePIGs tend to overplay whatever they get when elected.

So many a time, I had wished that democrats would be more bold than they tend to be when it comes to confronting the rePIGs, but alas democrats become overly aggressive only toward their left wing.

8. It is up to the

majority in congress as to how things work, they get to set the rules at the beginning of each term. So if the Dems get a majority but don't change the way things work on day one don't expect to see any progress.

9. I would love to think so

but I doubt it. We need to have people out there making the case for functional government but so far I haven't really heard it. It's unrealistic to expect that either party- at any given time- will be able to have full control of the government. We the people/voters should at least expect both parties to work together to get stuff done and keep the government functioning properly. As long as people are o.k. with (or at least tolerate) one party or another deliberately throwing sand in the gears and preventing votes, nominees, and basically government functioning like it is supposed to, then the partisan fighting (and let me make it clear, I blame the GOP Tea Party) will just continue in perpetuity.

11. The Better Question Is Will Obama Seek Bi-Partisanship Again

with the Republicans or take them on like he's done in the past 6 months or so.

12. I hope he gets a lot more aggressive with the GOP

since he doesn't have to worry about getting re-elected. Their 'do nothing' response is destroying our country.

They are backed by corporate anarchists like the Koch brothers. They have a long term goal of the destruction of a working democracy and they will obstruct towards that end. They are evil.

15. Bipartisanship is a delusion in a partisan system. So no, of course they will not change.

The question is will our President continue trying to sell us his wet dream of Bipartisanship in the face of another term of willful obstruction?

Congress and state legislatures. 2012 is going to be a critical election in that way.

...which can have a similar effect.

They're not evil superhumans, despite how it seems some times.
