I think the Alaska and Missouri laws will be declared unconstitutional, the others may not

(13,812 posts)2. Alaska repugs are doing all they can to avoid addressing
the oil tax debate. This way they can pass it with no input and say they didn't have time for debate.
It is the plan for the repugs and the oil corps to bankrupt Alaska.
We were one of the few states that had avoided the economic downturn and they have been itching to drain the coffers for a while.

A state deciding just not to enforce federal laws does not create the same problem. An example would be the federal law against marijuana use and states not enforcing it.
The states banning the federal law or penalizing federal officers for enforcing it is a different matter.
