The Gun Control debate can be ended simply.. and those opposed hoist on their own petard....

"Amendment II. A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

ok that says REGULATIONS are required...

the type of weapon
the type of ammo
the type of clip

or are those against gun control against the constitution too?

1. Strict restrictions on those three, total registration, and tracking chips in their heads.

That last one is just for the ones that complain about the first two.

6. Guns can be regulated - that is the political discussion America is having right now.

Judging from the results so far, I doubt you are going to be happy.

7. Good try, but no...

Regulations would apply to the Militia, not to the weapons. Now you COULD pass a law that says every gun owner is a member of the well-regulated Militia, with obligations for training, physical fitness, military service...

9. There are regulations.

There is not one square inch of this country where guns are not regulated.

12. We also understand the original meaning of regulated.

which has nothing to do with laws and regulations. The 18th century definition meant well equipped and trained - a well regulated militia was one that was an effective fighting force.
