PPP: Alaska Voters Not Too Keen On Palin

TOM KLUDT 12:39 PM EST, FRIDAY FEBRUARY 8, 2013

Just how much has Sarah Palin's standing in Alaska slipped? Voters there have a higher opinion of an historically unpopular Congress, according to the latest survey from Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling.

Eighty-two percent of Alaska voters said they have an unfavorable opinion of Congress mirroring nationwide surveys and results in other states compared with just eight percent have a favorable opinion. According to Gallup, the congressional approval rating in 2012 dipped to an all-time low.

But even so, PPP found that voters in Alaska have a higher opinion of Congress than their former half-term governor and one-time Republican vice presidential nominee. Fifty percent said they have a higher opinion of Congress, while 34 percent said they have a higher opinion of Palin.

The vast majority of voters there, 78 percent, said they do not want Palin to run for president in 2016. If she did and were pitted against Hillary Clinton in the general election, PPP showed that the former secretary of state would carry the state by a comfortable margin of 16 points.

1. This is what

selfish opportunism gets you. Palin will never hold office again and it irrelevant for all intents and purposes.

7. Not in her state but....

could move to Alabama and could become Queen of the State. If they paraded her down the street she would draw more adoring fans then did the Ravens.

4. I believe they were the most accurate pollster of the 2012 election

Although PPP does have Democratic roots, I believe, their polling methodology is sound and based on science. They don't poll to try and influence election outcomes.

That's the difference between pollsters like PPP with Dem roots and Republican pollsters like Rasmussen and Gallup. It's science vs propaganda.

6. And she would beat Jeb and Rubio in Florida in polls done so far.

All of which are included in the many reasons its getting hard for me to think of supporting someone else in 2016 if she runs, and I think she will.

8. HRC may yet make the Republicans sorry they ever talked about Benghazi

She whipped their butts good and made them look as small as they are.

9. One advantage of climate change?

Maybe Alaska warmed up enough that their brains thawed out and they realized what a dingbat Palin is.
