Introducing Discussionist: A new forum by the creators of DU

I recieved an email from Harry Reid's camp

They wanted money for his election. I removed myself from his mailing list with the comment:

"You traitorous bastard. I used to like you Harry, but now I find you're a bought and paid for politician. The constitution allows you to change the Senate rules with 51 votes. You had 51 votes for just about anything, including the "talking Filibuster" and your backbone wilted once again. The keep telling me, "oh, ole' Harry, he's a fighter - he used to be a boxer.

Well, you could have fooled me. Thanks for nothing and I'll be working with your democratic primary opponent in your next election. Maybe you'll do us all a favor and retire. Why don't you resign as leader and let a progressive have a chance?

Asshole!"

1. he's fundraising for 2016 already?

this is out of control. Please I beg anyone, of all the causes, political or otherwise to donate to, please put Harry Reid's election four years from now at the bottom of your list.

3. AAO -- good job. We, the people, at least deserved a vote on this talking filibuster. If it didn't

pass then at least that would not be harry's fault. But he did not bring it up. He should resign as leader now.
