Haley Barbour blames Harry Reid
for their loss, of course.
On CBS This Morning he blamed the two neanderthals from Missouri and Indiana. Did not spell, only implied the reference for their rape comments. And then added that Reid's PAC money was used to help Akin win the primaries... Right. Had Akin kept his mouth shut, he - gasp - would have now been the junior senator from Missouri. After all, Cruz did not talk into rape - at least not for public consumption - and he was elected..

1. Yep, Harry was feeding us a line.
|
The silent filibuster is very handy for extorting "campaign contributions", that's why they don't want to give it up.

2. well, it's true that Reid and McCaskill
|
tried to get the most extremist candidates in so that Dems had a better chance of winning. McCaskill ran ads during the primary accusing Akin of being too conservative, which is bait for the GOP base. Guess what folks, that's politics. If their base wasn't so extreme all the money in the world wouldn't work.

3. Well it worked for him in Nevada. Of course Barber and the rest of the establishment could
|
try and pull a united front against all of these RW idiots, but then they would face primaries and lose their jobs. |

5. Oh, I've done this in open primaries
|
voted for the weakest Republican when I knew that the Democrat was secure.
But then, McCaskill appeared on Chris Matthews' complaining that outside money, the source of which was unknown, was pouring into the state to campaign against her. |

4. With all the money going into politics none of these guys should be blaming the other. How much
|
outside money was used against Harry Reid in his last election?? How about the money against Sherrod Brown?? Haley is losing it !!!

6. So Reid helped Akin in the primaries. I think we call that politics.

7. Except that he almost won
|
would have, had he kept his mouth shut. This is what is scary for us, and unbelievable for the Reps. - that this was supposed to have been a sure win.

8. But, he didn't because he was the extreme teabagger that won the primary.
|
Good ON Reid.

10. Reid contributed to Akin AFTER his statement?
|
I thought, from earlier posts, that he contributed to the primary to have - what he thought a weak opponent to McCaskill?

11. Many apologies. I was thinking that Akin made the statement before the primary. I am wrong.
|
It was 2 weeks after. I'll delete it.
Thanks for pointing it out. |
