2. Lousy deal!

Obama's great inauguration speech. And now Harry Reid lets us down with this.

What a sad day.

3. I don't think some of you

exactly understand "Politics".

Things will get done. You guys whine about someone making a "Deal". This isn't a bad deal, it isn't a great deal, but it's a start. You have to understand what Reid is working with and what it takes to get anything accomplished. Be happy they got this far.

4. No, we DO understand that "things will get done", but NO LONGER FOR US THE PEOPLE!

It will be done for who pays them the most. That's the way what USED to be called bribery and USED to be a crime is called! We no longer live in a Democracy.

When the Republicans don't have the 40 votes to "continue a filibuster" there will be enough blue dog and "owned" Democratic senators to be absent at the same time so that the Democrats don't have a 50 vote majority to pass a bill then, and no one will hear about this without a talking filibuster and a corporate media press that won't talk about it either!

8. If we didn't have those

We would have more republicans. No way progressives can win in certain parts of our country. Actually a very large part unfortunately.

9. Shhh ...

that is blasphemy to suggest that the only thing holding back a Pregressive take-over of the Congress are those dinged blue-dogs. Everyone knows that absent the blue-dogs, the conservative electorate that elected them would vote for Progressive candidates!

{Do I really need to post this: ?}

10. Wrong

You don't negotiate with terrorists. Serious People who say otherwise are making points on the back end.

5. Phew ...

I thought we'd be able to get through the entire morning without the obligatory DU Outrage!

Thanks ... I was starting to jones.

But on a different note:

Not everyone has a similar assessment:

7. The most important thing is nominations and getting them through.

Legislation is besides the point with Speaker Boehner.
