If the 2nd amendment is so sancrosanct that it can't be violated

Then why are inmates in a prison prohibited from possessing firearms? Why are parolees or those on probation prohibited from possessing firearms?

Why are firearms prohibited in federal buildings, court houses, state capitols, in the offices of governors, or in city and county government buildings?

3. If there are people who think the 2nd amendment is sacrosanct, they must be pushing to repeal them

I'm doubting there are any such people.

4. There are probably certain conditions attached to it

If you're in prison, you can't possess a cellphone, knives etc. You can't bring these items onto an airplane or use them in certain situations. As dumb as the 2nd amendment is, there seems to be some kind of common sense when it comes to prohibiting firearms in certain situations.

6. Why can't I carry a gun in my bank and the mall? I have the

right to protect myself and I would also help protect the mall from some nut with a gun.
They should encourage us to carry a gun, the only way to get rid of a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

7. Even Scalia says government regulation is appropriate

it does, however, have to meet a stricter standard than laws regarding none Constitutional issues.

Research Strict Scrutiny and it will make more sense. It will be clearer why some regulations are ok while others are not.

8. Why can't I own an RPG or an M-1 Abrams Tank?

Or, an M2 Browning?
