5. That really has nothing to do with centrism one way or the other.

There are plenty of people with a liberal political ideology who believe in sky fairies and attend churches where its taught that being gay is a sin. That's how the vast majority of Christian churches believe and most Americans are Christians (not me, but I'm just saying).

10. I suspect Obama, and other serious political thinkers, probably avoid

terms such as "sky fairies"

YMMV, of course

3. He is the President of everyone, Religious or not. It is appropriate to have a religious leader give

the benediction.

It really is ridiculous how much criticism the President gets no matter what he does. I'm glad he ignores all the noise.

4. Louie Giglio is a big advocate for the fight against human trafficking.

He seems like a preacher that does something good with his following. Why is everyone so god damn judgmental about this kind of shit?

16. I've been Googling...

and I've found nothing objectionable about him. He has been a voice against human trafficking. If you don't object to religion in general, then I have yet to find anything you would object to with him.

Never heard of him before tonight, personally.

21. People are going to bash this president no matter what he does. Rather than looking into this person

as you did, they will bash him FIRST.

Trashing thread.

17. If that is the case, he's a good pick

That is a cause that needs attention not only in the US, but around the world. People on here preach about human rights and then take a piss on someone who actually cares about them. Seems a little hypocritical to me.

was when Rick Warren was doing the invocation.

20. Most Democrats are Christians

And a large percentage of Democrats attend churches like Louie Giglio's church. I even listen to worship music produced by his church. It is good to see Giglio participating in the inauguration.

23. Because 30% of the nation doesn't give a fuck...actually

30% still think O is a Muslim, and maybe there is a plan here.
30% don't practice any form of Christianity and really don't know who or what it going on with any choice...they are used to their faith being in the minority.
10% want to pissed off no matter what.
