What is happening with the filibuster reform?

Is it still a go?? Please assure me that Reid won't trust the odious McConnell to behave.

1. Reid is trying to forge a bi-partisan plan so they can do it without using the 51 vote

'nuclear option'. He's using the trick to extend the first senate session to last more than this first
day so they have more time.

2. Reid seems to be thinking it over

They recessed without ending the session, so whenever they resume it will still be the 1st day. There's something magical about that.

4. I've been thinking about what a single two-year long session could do.

I mean Mitch does owe Harry two years for breaking his word, the way I figure it.

3. Thank you for the update.

I don't see what is wrong with using 51 vootes. We are getting too used to a higher and impossible threshold for everything.
