Ed Schultz supports the Fiscal Cliff deal
He kept reaffirming that it protects the middle class and he said that liberals need to understand that this is a good deal.

Good to see that those who care about the poor and the middle class more than about winning one against the GOP are in. Al Sharpton said the same thing. |

8. He was saying hows this is a BIG win for the WH, how they protected SS, Medicare, and Medicaid,
|
got the rates back up to 39.6%, not 37%, and how the ONLY thing they compromised on was going from $250K to $450K. He disagreed with Trumpka's opposition!

I was critical of what the President was willing to sing off on to get a deal done earlier, but this is absolutely a deal that is commiserate to the cards he was holding.
The 600,000 number with a split on the rates was flat bad, alone, outside of the chained CPI. But, it literally is a bone to go to 400,000/450,000 with the Clinton rates to get everything else and not jack with SS. Good deal, and it HAD to get this point. |
