This is why I love being a Democrat.


Keesha Patterson of Ft. Washington, Maryland, proposed to her girlfriend, Rowan Ha, during the election night victory rally in Chicago. Maryland, along with three other states, voted in favor of gay marriage in November.

It's not just that this happened - it's that everyone around them are happily embracing this moment. There is an older man, a middle aged woman and a bunch of younger individuals happily celebrating their engagement.

Could you imagine this happening in Boston at the Romney campaign rally? Could you imagine the reaction?

I'm happy for them. Why anyone would want to stand in the way of something like that is beyond me. They wouldn't have liked it at the Romney rally though. One of his crowds even booed LGBT soldiers, and repubs are usually total military jock sniffers.
