Americans, many of them, really think the US has the best quality of life for wealthy nations. My last straw is reading articles about the Trayvon Martin murder and seeing the comments with many Americans pretty much justifying his murder. Just because he was a young black man.

If we are so detested by you, why in the world would you read and post on a primarily American site? Don't know where you're from, nor do I care, but it's pretty uncivil to paint an entire nation with the same broad brush. Let's have some civility people! We are angry, but at least progressives are much more thoughtful and the other side.

Like "they're all crooks" etc for her not voting, and I tell her that 's a defeatist cop out. She has a young daughter and is on SSDI, which makes me even more adamant with her. There's only so much you can do , though.

I like the cartoon. It's too bad Obama's campaign can't hire the "School House Rock" team of the 1970's to do a few campaign commercials!

Thomas doesn't bother to ask questions, doesn't pretend to be interested in answers.

Just sleep through proceedings, vote the right-wing side, go home, collect a paycheck.

Life is good.

Scalia and Alito work too hard, pretending to be judges. In the end, they'll vote with Thomas, so why all this griping about 2500 pages?
