Scott Brown for Secretary of Defense???
The Republicans had a major problem with Obama's original choice for the State Department-Susan Rice because they wanted to see Kerry vacate the MA US Senate to head the State Department and give Scott Brown the opportunity to win the Special Election in 2013.
The Republicans also have a major problem Obama's choice for the Defense Department-Former NE Republican Senator Chuck Hagel. Obama-D should nominate Scott Brown to head the Defense Department if Hagel has a tough time getting confirmed.

4. No, god, a thousand times no... I live in MA
|
And I'm going to be one of the people working my ass off to defeat him for senate and even though he's the most electable Republican in the state it still wouldn't be worth flattering that lying himbo who makes himself out to be a "war veteran" because he arranged an extended photo op with troops overseas. Nobody who actively supported Romney in the 2012 election is qualified to make the foreign policy decisions necessary to be secretary of defense.

10. Brown is a very nice looking ignorant mentally disturbed
|
pervert. He does not have the knowledge, e.g. he is not a student of history nor does he have the intellectual discipline to be Secretary of State of the United States of America. Senator Kerry is the perfect choice.

23. Scott Brown is in fact a member of the military and the Armed Services Committee
|
Served in the Army National Guard- Member of JAG, He is the sixth Republican on the Armed Sevices committee.
My suggestion of Brown being selected to the Defense is to stop Senate Republicans from filibustering the Hagel nomination to be Defense Secretary. Obama can say to the Senate Republicans-You have two choices on which Republican is going to head the Defense Department. Hagel or Brown |

In that case, not a terrible idea. Although I would love to see the president pick a woman for the job...that would be pretty groundbreaking.
