What going on with the faithless electors

It seems we have a decent number of faithless electors on our side. What is going on, really? This to me highlight's our problems as a party. We can never have the "sheeple" following the republicans have.

people wanting to get attention to their causes, a few may have been looking to give Republicans
an alternative to Trump in the remote case it went to the House.

All this nonsense from that professor that he had 20 GOP electors willing to flip. All the talk, protests, ad's, etc, led to nothing. 2 Texas electors flipped, one we knew and one for Ron Paul. All that will accomplish is Texas passing a law to bind the electors to the popular vote in the next session. I do believe Hillary actually lost a couple more than Trump.

There was NEVER a chance this would work. Why on earth would right wing Republican electors listen to a Harvard professor (who was obviously lying) and people like Michael Moore. Republicans hate academia and progressives like Moore - hell if any were wavering this kind of thing probably made them MORE likely to vote for Trump.

And it's worse. By trying to flip Republicans while Trump is filling his administration, it only encourages him to tick off every box and nominate the most extreme conservatives he could find to placate any electors that thought he wasn't a true conservative.

Yeah, you were lied to. Fed a bunch of BS.
