I would imagine ...

the toughest thing about being POTUS is not becoming frustrated with the impatience of the public.

You are always faced with announcing a policy objective, then facing the "why you didn't do it yesterday" and "all you have to do is ..." rants. And you have to suffer this in silence.

I don't think I would want that job.

1. "Why you didn't do it yesterday", after four years.

Save that gun powder.

Your point, if you had one, is not proven.

4. Okay ...

If you can't see that you have proved my point, there is nothing I can do to help you.

Have a nice day.

7. The fact that the guy hasn't even been inaugurated yet proves the OP's point.

8. He was, almost four years ago.

Christ, how much lower are you going to lower the bar for him.

Face it, he is a great campaigner but a failure as a leader.

10. Expanded the drone strikes. Yipee!

Let me guess. He ended the Iraqi occupation? Oh, wait bush started that and he just followed the timetable.

What has he lead on and stood by during his entire first term?

12. Yep ...

that is ALL my President has done in the almost 4 years he's been in office.

What has he lead on and stood by during his entire first term?

I'll just list his first Bill he signed:

Then, I will ignore you.

Have a nice day.

15. Started BEFORE he was in office, thank you.

Signing a law and leading on one is not the same thing.

11. I notice that you're in all these threads trashing the president. Why did you even vote for him?

And why are you even on DU?

Nevermind. Welcome to IGNORE.

6. Under this particular president, the impatience is much more apparent. The bar raised much higher.

16. I agree

Why do you think that is? Seriously, do you think there's an element of unconscious racism in some cases? I have to wonder, because it's pretty amazing how anything he does is belittled, even if it's what the belittler was asking for the day before.

17. Yes, I do believe that *unconscious* racism is at play and I have never backed down on this belief.

And what is so disturbing is that there is a quite a bit of this happening on the political left with a refusal to have an intelligent discussion or even an acknowledgement of it.
