was able to add this exceptional public servant's scalp to his belt. His anger and bitterness at the President (and, I suspect all well-educated, bright African Americans) knows no bounds, and she was the perfect scapegoat to satisfy his fantasies of revenge while at the same time giving him some temporary 'relevance' on the national political scence.

In which case, it might be a signal that he's sending Tom Donilon over to State. Whatever it is, he's not going to tip his hat publicly this time, and let Congress shoot down a nominee before he/she is even nominated.

(This is the third time I've suggested that Donilon may well be the new nominee, but no one seems to have noticed. Is it because no one knows who he is? That's probably a good thing.

Maybe he's going to offer her an even better position -- after all, Elizabeth Warren didn't do so badly!

Will have to wait and see what the outcome is tomorrow.

Not a bad start though.
