The grooming of the media

I am angry with television journalists mainly for all the free publicity they gave Trump. Since I refuse to watch them right now (mainly because it makes me nauseous) I have taken to channel surfing as I am currently homebound. Imagine I would run across a Dr. Phil episode where he is interviewing Megyn Kelly. She is telling how at least 6 months before he began his run for the Republican primary, Donald Trump began sending her things - mostly compliments. He would send her newspaper clips about her and pictures of her (with his signature!). He would send gifts with a note from him. I have to wonder how many other members of the press were treated this way (Joe? Mika?) . It had to make an impression and paved the way for all the positive attention he got from them early on. If this were child molestation, they would call it "grooming the victim".

2. That's exactly how I felt

when listening to her recount the story. It was manipulation of the basest sort and she seemed genuinely happy that she is being told she'll be welcome in the WH. She obviously has sold her soul.
