My letter to journalists: Look in the Mirror

After reading this column by Dana Milbank, I felt I had to respond:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/anti-semitism-is-no-longer-an-undertone-of-trumps-campaign-its-the-melody/2016/11/07/b1ad6e22-a50a-11e6-8042-f4d111c862d1_story.html?tid=pm_opinions_pop_b

In it, he talks about how Trump has escalted his rhetoric, how he hasn't been called on it. My response:

Where has the media been the past 18 months or so?? They treated Trump like a serious candidate, while never really calling the things he says what they are: hate-filled propaganda the likes of which we haven't seen here in this country in my lifetime, and I'm almost 55. Instead, his minions such as Kellyanne Conway and Jason Miller go on show after show, spewing their proven lies and propaganda, with nary an interviewer to push back. The other night Conway said, "Damage done," about the Comey email situation, and that statement was left there, sitting out there on the airwaves, unaddressed. Chris Matthews loves her!! She's his golden girl. Anderson Cooper FINALLY pushed back on the lies they spout. One of the best is Chris Cuomo, but sadly, he's the exception. Morning Joe, Chuck Todd, Wolf Blitzer mostly let them spew and spew.
So if our democracy is in peril. we have you to blame. You, who treated this man like a sideshow rather than the fascist he has revealed himself to be. Like a joke, good for ratings, rather than one who would jail his political opponent. Do us all a favor and look in the mirror, journalists.
