Abortion For Military Rape Victims Amendment Passes SenateAbortion For Military Rape Victims Amendment Passes Senate In a historic bipartisan vote on Tuesday, the Senate passed Sen. Jeanne Shaheen's (D-N.H.) amendment to the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act that would extend abortion insurance coverage to victims of rape in the military. If the House of Representatives decides to include the measure in its version of the defense bill, military servicewomen who have become pregnant from rape will no longer have to pay out of pocket for an abortion procedure for the first time since 1981. -snip- http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/05/abortion-military-rape-jeanne-shaheen_n_2244668.html

...but when will women in the military get full medical coverage from their employer? Independent of an extreme, though frequent, cause of the condition.

7. A very good thing but the military never did want females. This is part of the reason, IMHO.

It's not about suddenly becoming financially pro-choice or clear on the definition of rape.

I learn more everyday on how backward some of our institutions are in certain area. I never actually thought there was a issue behind a military member getting a abortion but I was ignorant.
