I Just Called Speaker Boehner

Amd of course he was "not available" so I left him a message letting him know that the Bush tax cuts were a gift to the top two percent for which the rest of us got a couple of $600 checks and that money ran out a long time ago now and since the top earners have consistently taken their profits and hiring offshore instead of re-investing in America despite their campaign slogan rhetoric that it is time for that gravy train to end. I also suggested to him that he knock off the bullshit about the instigation of "class warfare" since his party started it when they declared war on America's middle class and poor by taking millions of jobs offshore, rigging the financial industry in their favor and creating the housing collapse with their greed. I don't expect that I will be receiving a call back but I feel it is important for us to continue to let our voice be heard so please call and let him know where you stand on this issue.

7. Wen we went to McConnell's office they locked the doors and called the cops.

His staff called the cops on a dozen senior citizens. Rand Paul's office was next door, they locked up and shut off their lights.

6. Everyone should call now - It only takes a minute

Be polite.

I explained why I thought the Speaker was pursuing the wrong problems. Today we need to be fully focused on building the economy. The deficit is already coming down and will come down further as we get the economy on track. I asked him to support the President's budget, and in particular the stimulus parts of Obama's plan.

9. What did you call him?

Did you ask for Congressman Boner?

I'm kidding of course. Good for you for doing something pro-active. More of his constituents should follow your noble example, even if they're in the minority.

Frankly, I'm not going to waste the cost of a long distance phone call to speak to a closed door, but I'm certain my great 17th district Ohio Representative Tim Ryan will stand on the House floor sometime this week and relay our mutual feelings to him in very eloquent terms. That's what we elected him for.

10. It would be about as effective...

to bang my head on a brick wall. We can tell Boehner's office what we think of the Bush tax cuts, we can even be extremely reasonable, polite - and convincing to anyone with some level of intelligence.

Does anyone honestly think that Boehner is reasonable, polite, or terribly intelligent? I don't. I'd rather spend my time arguing with someone I might have some hope of convincing of the injustice. Boehner and his ilk are a waste of time, money, oxygen and effort.

11. Calling Boehner?

I need to meditate, I guess. All week I've been thinking of how we can get rid of this guy. I am afraid I would say something really harsh.

12. I did as well last week...left a message.

I reminded him that Ohio voted for Obama. I also said that he may have run unopposed in the past but that won't happen again. I told him that no one voted for Grover Norquist and that he is supposed to be working for us. Oh well, I felt better.
