David Gergen says the President has a "partial" mandate.

Bullocks! I can't stop envisioning a romney win and what would've happened. Stand firm Mr. President, you have a mandate.

1. If Romney had won

with the same electoral and popular vote count he with most other repubs would be saying that he has a mandate plus a landslide. They use the GOP control of the house as a indicator of power when they know damned well that the only reason they held it was due to gerrymandering. They are as divorced from reality now as before the election. Another thing a modern landslide looks nothing like what Reagan, Clintion of LBJ did years ago. The country is more divded on ideological (and some respects racial) lines.

7. As with everything else, two sets of rules

Rs win by a single vote - MANDATE, ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!

Ds win, clearly - AMERICA VOTED FOR BI-PARTISANSHIP, which just happens to be whatever Rs want.

9. The country is much more divided now.

So Obama's win is even more impressive. Nearly 5 million vote lead over Romney and an electoral landslide.

12. They were claiming Romney would win in a landslide with more than 300 electoral votes

so by their own claims right before the election, Obama won in a landslide.

Gergen is a dick.

2. If David Gergen thinks that.. he's an

idiot. Does anyone remember him saying right after the Election that this was "no mandate" or did I imagine that?

We will show David Gergen what our Mandate is really all about. We have not stopped participating in Democracy just because the election is over.

4. Some great comments on the twitter session with bo.

Margaret A. Hall -Thank you, Mr. president for being one on one with us. I am 72 and cannot recall a president that has ever seemed to care so much, and that 2k means a lot to all of us middle class & lower!

Nancy Ballard Cox - This is true engagement with your constituents! We have a President who listens and responds to all. Now, if only Congress would do the same!

Jean Rollins - he is the most brilliant and most selfless person that has ever served in the office of President!

Bobbie - Thank you Mr. President for sticking to your promise during the election to protect the middle class, or what is left of them. Please don't give us up as the GOP continues to play chicken with our livelihoods.

Says it all.
