Our subject for today is: Important Holiday Traditions Involving Mitt Romney.
You undoubtedly have heard that Barack Obama invited Romney for lunch this week, in what was described in many reports as a longstanding tradition of re-elected presidents having a good-fellowship meal with the person whose political dreams they had just shattered.
They pledged to stay in touch, particularly if opportunities to work together on shared interests arise in the future, said the official report. Their lunch menu included white turkey chili and Southwestern grilled chicken salad."
Youd think they could have served meat loaf. Mitts favorite food is meat loaf. Also, Mitt loves practical jokes, and if Obama had really wanted to get in the spirit of things, he could have had Romney arrested by the Capitol Police in the lobby.
There was no press coverage allowed. The two men posed for a rather uncomfortable-looking picture, and then, the White House said, had a nice discussion about Americas leadership in the world and the importance of maintaining that leadership position in the future.

O likes practical jokes, too, and this is much easier to operate than a drone.
White turkey chili...beans and jalapenos. YUMMY.

(5,756 posts)"White Turkey" is a perfect description for Willard. Wonder if the White House meant it as a subtle dig?

Very satisfying.
Mitt Romney, to me, behaved like white jive "turkey" and a cowardly "chicken" during the GE on and off the campaign trail.
There should have been lemon suckers as desert.
The boxing gloves on display in one of the post luncheon photos was also priceless and full of meaning, to me.
I never want to hear a peep coming from or referring to that rat turd ever again.

Begs the question.. Will mitt end up as bitter as John McCain..
Personally, I think it's better that mitt did get invited since PBO has such strong stomach. Of course, bush didn't invite Kerry to the White House for lunch.. he was in Texas clearing brush.
