January 1st and finds that his taxes have increased : regular income to 39.6%; dividends from 15% to 39.6%, he may get hit by AMT if there is no fix, and he loses a % of deductions and exemptions. Based on his 2011 income his tax would go up from $ 2 mill to $ 3.1 mill.
