They lost our Vote because they lost their Humanity

They lost our vote by attacking women, our children, our elderly. They attack mothers, fathers ,sons, daughters alike.

They lost our vote, because the GOP has lost it's Humanity!

Top 10 Shocking Attacks from the GOP's War on Women

1) Republicans not only want to reduce women's access to abortion care, they're actually trying to redefine rape. After a major backlash, they promised to stop. But they haven't yet. Shocker.

2) A state legislator in Georgia wants to change the legal term for victims of rape, stalking, and domestic violence to "accuser." But victims of other less gendered crimes, like burglary, would remain "victims."

3) In South Dakota, Republicans proposed a bill that could make it legal to murder a doctor who provides abortion care. (Yep, for real.)

4) Republicans want to cut nearly a billion dollars of food and other aid to low-income pregnant women, mothers, babies, and kids.

5) In Congress, Republicans have a bill that would let hospitals allow a woman to die rather than perform an abortion necessary to save her life.

6) Maryland Republicans ended all county money for a low-income kids' preschool program. Why? No need, they said. Women should really be home with the kids, not out working.

7) And at the federal level, Republicans want to cut that same program, Head Start, by $1 billion. That means over 200,000 kids could lose their spots in preschool.

8) Two-thirds of the elderly poor are women, and Republicans are taking aim at them too. A spending bill would cut funding for employment services, meals, and housing for senior citizens.

9) Congress just voted for a Republican amendment to cut all federal funding from Planned Parenthood health centers, one of the most trusted providers of basic health care and family planning in our country.

10) And if that wasn't enough, Republicans are pushing to eliminate all funds for the only federal family planning program. (For humans. But Republican Dan Burton has a bill to provide contraception for wild horses. You can't make this stuff up).

1. They are proceeding as though they had won the election.

Their arrogance is just breathtaking.

5. Sad that we can not teach them a little Humility. To offset their arrogance.

A Prayer for Humility

O Father, give us the humility which realizes its ignorance,

Admits its mistakes, recognizes its need, welcomes advice,

Accepts rebuke. Help us always to praise rather than to criticize,

To sympathize rather than to discourage, to build rather than to destroy,

And to think of people at their best rather than at their worst.

This we ask for thy name's sake.

(Prayer of William Barclay)

21. what an amazing prayer

I love that!

Of course at this point we need to destroy rather than build the Republican party.

It is against our nature, but we do need to shame them. They need to be forced to feel bad about being so self centered and awful. They need to be verbally tarred and feathered and run out of town. Humanity needs us to do this.

But maybe we can help them by building them up, help them remember the decent Republicans like Eisenhower who had tax rates at 91% to pay off the debt from WWII.

Or even Reagan, who was so smart he increased FICA payments to fully fund Social Security for the Baby Boomers which is why we don't really have a problem now, Social Security is fully funded. The problem is the Takers who don't want to pay back the money they borrowed.

3. I cannot tell you which one of those pisses me off the most, they are all so heinous.

The obsession they have over women's reproductive rights is extremely disturbing.

I am having more & more difficulty being friends & acquaintances with people who are republicans. And it's not just the reproductive rights issue. It's everything the GOP stands for. Hate, bigotry, intolerance, blurring the lines of church & state, the disenfranchisement of voters, the acceptance of social injustice, the denial of science & the list goes on!

I'm reevaluating my relationship with almost everyone I know who is a repub. Is it just me?

I can't imagine where their minds have gone. It's like the darkest side of these people is captured by the republican political ideology.

As I read down the list my horror grew & I wondered, "Who votes for these monsters?" Their humanity has been hijacked by their ideology & they are a threat.

19. We must be drinking the Same Kool-aid!!!!

I have republican associates, can't no longer call them friends. I lost my respect for them. Anytime you would back a known LIAR to sit in the Seat of the Oval Office, I think is fucked up. They would back people who tell you to your face they hate you is cold and treacherous. This election has renewed my hope, that republicans will forever be the party of ignorance.

8. Unproven homophobia from the anti equality Party that touts Ralph Reed as a saint?

The entire GOP is opposed to basic human rights for gay people, they claim God tells them to be that way. If you think their bigotry is unproven you must live under a rock somewhere to my right.
Republicans just lost the election because they are deeply bigoted and atavistic. Time to wake up and smell that homophobic coffee they pass out down on K Street...

9. Nothing false about the accusations.

Yes, this is a free speech forum. For Democrats.

Your very first post ignores truth and tries to spin all the hatred and division we've seen from your sick party into "false accusations."

Perhaps you'd be happier back in Freeperstan. Do you know how long a post like yours, from the other side, would have lasted?

If you're really here to discuss and not pass blame, I'd suggest you do a lot more listening than speaking.

10. So in a calm manner of exchanging ideas:

1."The war on women: Not wanting the feds to pay for your sex life is not "a war on women." Bringing up the abortion issue is lame as well."

...defunding planned parenthood(that provides affordable health care) is not a war on women.
... forced trans-vaginal ultra sounds... not a war on women?
...Access to birth control with out paying a deductible is far more sensible than unwanted pregnancies and will lead to fewer abortions! This makes more sense than the fact we are picking up the tab for MEN to take Viagra... not a war on women?

And... it is the GOP that keeps bringing up ABORTIONS AND RAPE!!!

20. In a calm manner,

Rigel1 is coming out of Republican fairyland. He has years of useless rhetoric inside their head as well as their heart. It has embedded itself as the truth. And when you believe foolish things you think foolishly and say even worse. Since regel1 is quick to throw around the words rape and abortion, it shows that they don't understand the violence. It is more apparent that they don't get anything about trauma to the body and mind and spirit of the victims of sexual assault. I wonder how they would feel about their little Personhood bills if someone of color sexually assaults their wife or young daughter and the beautiful law they created forces them to watch their loved one deal with the horrors of an unwanted pregnancy. can't you see rigel1 passing out cigars!!!! Or is the Op so low on information that they don't know that even men are victims of sexual assault. Or that you may be sexually assaulted with an object (Governor Ultrasound McDonnell). There's your real sexual assault. When you want to force something in a woman just make a law to do it for you. Rigel1 is on Republican formula. Democratic table food only gets introduced after they get their first set of dem baby teeth.

11. about those unproven charges of racism, homophobia, etc - did you happen

to watch any videos of typical tea party gatherings? the daily rantings of Rush?

This is "Democratic" underground, you realize. And, you are doing a typically conservatively wonderful job of projection in your post.

Personally I still remember the election tactics and rhetoric, others look at racists and say 'I can't wait to compromise with them!'.
