We wouldn't hear anything about a "War on Christmas."

5. War on Christmas, War on the Mind What's the Diff?

War on Christmas, War on the Mind What's the Difference? Anything coming out of a Republican's mouth these days always amounts to the same thing - A feeble attempt to subvert the reasoning of the listener.

3. I don't know any atheist, agnostic or any person of any other religion who is against Christmas.

To most of them, it is a "Spending" holiday. It is so massively commercialized that it lost a lot of its religious significance.

If they really want to start a War to Promote Christmas, they should go against the stores and the rampant consumerism, since this thing is supposed to be about introspection and being charitable. I don't see them doing that...

Just have a lot of nerve.

I find that some of the atheist activists have become a royal pain in the butt. Don't want to celebrate Christmas? That's fine, but don't ruin it for everyone else. How about a little tolerance for Christians and people of all faiths?

I enjoy the Christmas displays and the lovely windows in Manhattan. I look forward to seeing the tree at Rockefeller Center before heading to FL for the holidays. I also have no problem with the creche. There's nothing wrong with spreading good will, goodness knows that there are enough depressing problems around the world.

6. Christmas is spelled with a silent "Christ"

Christians are totally wrong about Christmas in the idea that it belongs to them. It's a total secular Holiday. And really, historically it's just an amalgam of ancient traditions and holidays that because a Roman Emperor patronized the growing cult of Christianity by changing the name, Christians think it's theirs.
