Look, if the GOP wants to believe that it was

Sandy and Christie that got them beat, great! Even if one accepts that because it was a late opportunity for the President to shine--and Christie acted like a governor and no a partisan hack--and it was thus some boost to the President's campaign... Even if one believes that, what did it really mean? Did it add a percent to the President's popular vote? If it did, then it would have ended up 50% to 48.6% and Rmoney still would have lost.

And most important, I can't find a single state where the GOP could claim it would have gone the other way were it not for Sandy and Christie. Would no Sandy have flipped Ohio? no; Would no Sandy have flipped Pennsylvania, or Iowa, or Wisconsin, or Florida, or Virginia? no.

So, let them go another cycle or two believing that their problem is their bad luck (Sandy), or because they chose a bad candidate (Rmoney), or even that their candidate wasn't batshit crazy, right wing conservative enough. Let them go another cycle believing that the "liberal media" somehow conspired to make their Rmoney look bad (perhaps the nuttiest break from reality they display)... whatever.

The fact is, as James Carville said, the message of this election was a two-by-four upside the head. The President's reelection was the combination of two realities. One, the demographics have evolved to a point where it will be very hard for the GOP to win in the electoral college going forward if they do not themselves evolve. And two, DESPITE the MSM giving every break to the republican point of view throughout this election, a majority of the people disagree with their vision.

Let them believe their bullshit. Let them finally nominate the most batshit lunatic right winger they can find in 2016. I think they have a few more two-by-fours coming!

1. Let them believe their bullshit. Let them finally nominate the most batshit lunatic right winger

hey can find in 2014 so we can watch them hold the House and gain the Senate.

Everybody who has a lick of sense knows their only real problem is that the nominees have not been pure-d-Conservative enough. If only they had a candidate who could communicate the awesomeness and beauty of their positions everything would be ducky.

2. Just a tidbit.

Noticed that the states Willard carried are predominantly angry old white people. Now,in saying that, total population equals the population of Ohio and Florida or there abouts. You can see were the big money is headed in 2014.

3. They really lost because Romney wasn't conservative enough

I like that meme as well. Let them put up Sarah Palin/Todd Akin in 2016 and see how that ticket fares.

5. The lying add in Ohio didn't do Romney any favors either. But why should they be surprised

when, starting with the convention, they didn't care about fact checks. Lyin' Lyin' Lyin'. Don't insult the american people. The american people are not stupid.
