I also realize that I am fortunate to have other options, something many people do not have if they live in areas where the evil empire has chased out all the competition. between bargain stores, dollar stores, thrift stores, coupons and specials and sales, I can survive.

...somewhere in Virginia.
I was going camping and somehow forgot to bring a bag.
That was the first and only time I've ever been inside a Wal-Mart.

And yes, I live in a place where there are plenty of other options.

I stopped shopping at Walmart 8 years ago, so my not going there on Black Friday will have no impact.

My wife makes the Black Friday rules and I will be on the leash following her to Wal-Mart, Target, Toys R Us and a few others before heading into work.

Saying no to her on Black Friday is pretty much asking for a divorce.

is easy, but in the spirit of johnlennon_shallrise's OP, I will try to convince others who do shop there to boycott it (and not just on Black Friday).
