Top Republicans Excoriate Romney On Sunday Talk Shows

.If Mitt Romney has any friends left in the Republican Party, they’re in hiding

On the Sunday talk shows, senior Republicans, former Romney surrogates and prominent conservatives piled on their defeated presidential nominee for telling donors that he lost because President Obama bought off minorities and young voters with “gifts.”

“It’s nuts,” said former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on ABC’s “This Week.” “I mean, first of all, it’s insulting. … The job of a political leader in part is to understand the people. If we can’t offer a better future that is believable to more people, we’re not going to win.”

Rumored 2016 presidential hopefuls in the party saw an opportunity to distance themselves from Romney.

“I absolutely reject what he said,” said Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal on “Fox News Sunday.” “We as a Republican Party have to campaign for every single vote. If we want people us we have to like them first. And you don’t start to like people by saying their votes were bought.”

and is backing over him repeatedly.

You'd think they'd have figured out what a douche he was before the election, and preferably even before nominating him, but they were so isolated in the Fox bubble that they had to have their electoral asses handed to them to get the clue. Of course, all their other primary candidates sucked equally, in their own ways.

I haven't forgotten him saying that Black folks should demand jobs and not food stamps or something similar in idiocy.

But Mitt was just repeating Republican talking points. Where was Lindsey when Mitt was saying all that in the Republican primaries? Or during the Republican convention? Where were any of these guys before Nov. 6?!

It was a hold your nose vote for Romney, which is never a winning strategy.

But I have a five point plan...

not because they really believe anything Romney says is wrong.
They are guilty of the same "poll driven" flip-flopping as Mr Romney, who they now want to be the scapegoat for the failures of their policies and promotion.
They are not going to morph into the party of fair play. They will not begin to work for the common good.
The people criticizing Romney today were the same folks lending him credibility two weeks ago. They voted for him.
What did they expect from a self-identified Latter Day Saint, a man who believes he is chosen, a man who will be god? Did they expect anything but delusion?
The more they spin the worse they appear. Eventually they will all out themselves as lying, idiot, shills for the uber-class.
Personally, I love that Rush chose to label himself a liar rather than admit to his audience that he was wrong about Romney's viability in the election.
Being wrong or mistaken is not a personality flaw but being a liar is.
I think we are seeing the lot of them trying to cover their own roles in promoting the awful product called, Team Romney.
Their objections are too late and too little.

This is digging an even deeper hole for those guys, don't they see that?

Two weeks ago you had this cat almost taking the White House(well not really). He was the leader of your party.

Two weeks later you want to toss his ass overboard for saying the same shit he said in the 47% tape that you were just defending him on?

Jesus, do those cats even remotely smell the shit their shoveling these days?

They were all gung-ho for Mittwit two weeks ago. They bent over for him like a flock of sheep. Now they're running like rats from him.

Let the whole lousy bunch simmer in their own stew.
