even if he is a little greasier than most of them.

One good thing about the ridiculous length of the US campaign season is that it does tend to eliminate Santorum when it makes itself known by the occasional mistake of such candidates in telling the truth about who they are.

Santorum is just pissy enough to run as a third party bible candidate if he doesn't get his way again.

26. Yet Another Example of the GOP losing Their Post-Election Collective Marbles
Fri Nov 16, 2012, 09:41 AM
Nov 2012

This is just another example of the GOP losing their post-election collective marbles. Other examples, Romney renews his 47%-lie comments, McCain melting down, racist threats against the President, secession plans, moving to Canada because they don't like health insurance with government controls like Canada has, a wide range of post-election conspiracy theories that are even crazier than usual, GOP firing employees, governors not implementing Obamacare, renewed cleansings of party moderates, the racism in their own party has increased from already high levels and refusing to pass violence against women act are just a few examples I can think of.

Of course, some of this like Cantor's plot to sabotage the economy began before the election loss but when more members of the party start acting like Cantor you know you're party is in trouble.

should be a clue for Ricky Sweater Vest, but I should know that 4 years is not enough time for them to acknowledge reality. Their world view is dated and not at all where the majority of this country want to go back to. 4 years from now it will be more than a majority for us, by them I suspect it will be the point of no return...EVER.

39. According to recent Republican history, Santorum is the frontrunner for 2016
Fri Nov 16, 2012, 05:14 PM
Nov 2012

The Republicans usually select the Runner-Up from the previous Presidential nomination race to be the nominee the next time.

Eg. McCain was 2nd to Bush and then became the nominee, Romney was 2nd to McCain and then became the nominee etc.

But I think even the Republicans are likely to break with history next time. Surely they won't be crazy enough to nominate someone like Santorum?
