Alec baldwin on the Seccssionists
Alec Baldwin thinks it’s laughable that some Americans are arguing for secession in the wake of President Barack Obama’s reelection.
“It’s so strange because I had many of those states on a list of states I would like to secede from the United States,” the actor joked on “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Wednesday. “…And the people that are leading that movement, it’s amazing, because we actually agree on something for the first time. That’s secession.”
“What would they call it?” he asked. “The United Flakes of America? The United States of Caucasia?”
Baldwin added that the movement is too small to make a difference anyway.
“They say that it’s 750,000 people out of 300 million people, gosh darn it, that’s one quarter of one percent of the people of this country want to secede,” the “30 Rock” star said. “…It’s a spit in the ocean. Literally, it’s spit in the ocean.”

1. We shouldn't ridicule this. We should encourage it....
It will happen one day and should. This country has never been 'one country', and has always been too big. Let them go their own way, and make them civilize themselves instead of us having to always do it. They'll come around eventually, as long as they don't have us to rail against.
