President Obama approval ratings at near 4-year high in daily tracking polls

Gallup-53%-40%-Nov 11-13
Rasmussen-54%!-45%!!-Nov 11-13

The public is squarely on the side of 44 on the fiscal cliff and Petraeus matter and it shows awesomely

We are looking at Reaganesque and Clintonesque like approval ratings here!!

2. Sounds good BUT remember that Gallup and Rasmussen were two of the worst pollsters ...

... during the election season.

It's nice seeing the good numbers, but it's a shame that those two pollsters are the ones putting them out

3. Any real polls?

Like ones that weren't rated the least accurate this election cycle?
I thought he was in the 60s and 70s four years ago?

8. This.

Gallup and Rasmussen fell on their faces on election day. Why do people still trust them for Obama's approval numbers?

9. PBO Had Good Approval Ratings from Gallup Even When They Had Romney Winning the Race

This fact always made me suspicious of their head to head numbers between the 2 for president. A fact that was apparently lost on repubs who accepted the race numbers as accurate.

10. Gallup used different methods to get the approval ratings.

It was their LV model that was wrong. The approval ratings have always been done surveying all adults. I think the approval is pretty accurate. The LV poll #'s were atrocious.

7. My approval rating of him has gone up since he started talking tough.

It will go up even more when he actually walks the walk.

12. If Gallup says 53 it must be 58%. How can I believe their methods again?
