Eric Cantor's Petraeus October Surprise Failed as FBI Stood Firm

Cantor's inappropriate meddling into an FBI investigation for opportunistic political purposes -- likely aimed at influencing an election -- simply failed. Cantor took the risk of assisting a rogue FBI agent to make an end run around his superiors, without even informing his fellow Republicans on the Hill. He thought he would end up a GOP hero, but he really just looks as seedy as the whole lamentable saga.

1. It was the GOP pundits who said it didn't pass the smell test

Something is stinky in their own back yard.

5. If Cantor had been as diligent in pursuing the needs of his office as U S Representative.

As he was trying to stir up crap to help his RW FBI pal, things would have happened in Congress last year and he would have had time to read the ACA and get information to pass needed bills.

I also wonder if the information coming out of Benghazi is very close to the information coming out of the Whitehouse already and to cause acid reflux in the conspiracy bunch if there could be a way of preventing Petraeus from testifying before Congress and therefore the "truth" would not be known.
